Where asbestos-containing roofing is confirmed or suspected, removal must be completed under the appropriate licensed arrangement. Willy Marsh Roofing can coordinate the replacement roofing and work alongside the licensed asbestos-removal contractor so the transition to the new roof is properly planned.
Testing, removal, disposal, clearance requirements and replacement roofing are confirmed in writing before work is scheduled.

What to do, and what not to
Asbestos cement roofing was common on New Zealand houses and sheds into the 1980s. Intact and undisturbed it is generally low risk; broken, drilled, water-blasted or walked on is where the problem starts.
- Do not water-blast, sand, drill or break it, and do not walk on it
- Do not send a general handyman up to "just take a look"
- Get it identified before any work is scheduled — that decides everything else
- If it is sound and staying put, leave it alone and keep an eye on it
